The College has a Governing Council comprised of external members drawn from business, academia and the professions and with staff and student representation. It also includes a representative from our awarding body Plymouth University Marjon. It is chaired by Professor Dennis Gayle who has extensive worldwide research and teaching experience and he also acts as an advisor to a number of government organisations and official bodies.

The Council brings valuable additional expertise to the College and helps to ensure that it is compliant with the UK regulatory HE framework and that the highest standards are maintained in the furtherance of the College’s educational mission. It also has an important role in ensuring that the College complaints and appeals procedures are adhered to and acts as a final arbiter of any unresolved disputes.
